The Rape of Lucretia

A plate originally engraved by Agostino Veneziano, later re-worked by Enea Vico who eliminated the two dogs from the right foreground, and replaced date and Agostino's monogram on stool at lower left. Lettered with inscription ascribing the invention to Raphael at upper right. A second state impression of Agostino's plate (dated 1524) can be found at RCIN 852202.
