An engraving by Diana Ghisi depicting a sacrifice in the temple of Jupiter. This print reproduces in reverse a drawing by Giulio Romano in the Louvre, Paris (inv. no. 3528). Before lettering. Annotated on the verso. Trimmed within the platemark.

This drawing is a study for the scene depicted in the lunette of the east wall of the loggia of the Giardino Segreto apartment, in Palazzo Te, Mantua. In the fresco (c.1531-1534), the scene is extended, conveying a much more airy feeling.
