An etching after a painting formerly attributed to Raphael, as lettered on the print. According to Ruland (1876), the photographed work is by Marco Palmezzano and then housed in the collection of the late Mr J. W. Brett, Esq.; exhibited at the 1857 Manchester Art Treasures exhibition as Raphael (p.21, cat. no.121).
