Photograph showing the view from Cathcart's Hill. In the foreground there are several soldiers, one wearing a white coat. Behind them is a large military camp. Hills can be seen in the distance. Cathcart's Hill, named after the grave of General Cathcart, was the main cemetery for British soldiers killed during the Crimean War. It was also used as an observation point as from it commanders could view the progress of the Siege of Sevastopol.
