Photograph of the ruins of the town of Inkerman. The photograph is taken from a high vantage point and shows the Valley of Inkerman. The town, which is largely built into caves, can be seen in the valley to the right. The Battle of Inkerman was fought in this valley in November 1854 and badly damaged the town.
