Photograph of the graves of Brigadier-General Strangways, Brigadier-General Goldie and General Cathcart on Cathcart's Hill. The graves are arranged in a group and have small engraved headstones. The tops of two tents can be seen over the ridge behind to the right. Cathcart's Hill, named after the grave of General Cathcart, was the main cemetery for British soldiers killed during the Crimean War. It was also used as an observation point as from it commanders could view the progress of the Siege of Sevastopol.
