Photograph of Sir John Campbell (1807-55) and his aide-de-camp Captain Hume (1825-91) beside the entrance of a tent. Sir Campbell stands to the left with Captain Hume sitting beside him holding a telescope. This photograph, printed by Jabez Hughes in 1883, is a carbon print pasted over the original photograph.

Sir Campbell was a senior military figure during the Crimean War who died during the Battle of the Great Redan.
