Photograph of a group of soldiers and horses in an area of open land with hills behind. Most of the men are mounted on a horse, but some stand beside one. There is a gun carriage behind them to the right with a small group of soldiers standing behind it. All of the soldiers are wearing military uniform and several are holding swords.
