Photograph of a group of seven soldiers taken during the Crimean War. Included in the photograph are Major-General Sir Robert Garrett (1794-1869), General George Staunton (1809-80) and Major George Frederick Dallas. The men are gathered in front of a stone building, with one leaning on the window ledge from the inside. The lower left section of the photograph shows the fragmentation of the original glass negative. This photograph, printed by Jabez Hughes in 1883, is a carbon print pasted over the original photograph.
