Photograph of Lieutenant-General Burgoyne standing facing forwards with his hands behind his back. He is wearing military uniform and there is a sword hanging from his belt. His coat covers a high table beside him to the left, and his peaked cap rests on top. Lieutenant-General Burgoyne was the Inspector-General of Fortifications during the Crimean War. He later became the Commander of the Tower of London.
