Photograph of Lieutenant Edward Amelius Disbrowe standing with his head turned slightly to the right. He is wearing military uniform and is holding a pair of gloves in his left hand. His right hand is resting on his hat on the small table beside him to the left. This photograph, printed by Jabez Hughes in 1883, is a carbon print pasted over the original photograph.

Lieutenant Edward Amelius Disbrowe served with the Coldstream Guards during the Crimean War and was killed during the Battle of Inkerman.
