Photograph of Colonel Seymour standing in front of a sheet of cloth with a wooden wall behind. He is wearing military uniform and a winter coat and is resting his right foot on a stone. He holds a sword in his left hand. This photograph, printed by Jabez Hughes in 1883, is a carbon print pasted over the original photograph.

Colonel Seymour served during the Crimean War and was injured during the Siege of Sevastopol. He later commanded the British troops in Malta.
