Photograph of Colonel Clarke standing beside a horse which was wounded during the Battle of Balaklava. He is standing facing left with his right hand resting on the horse's back, and is wearing a fur coat and hat. Another man stands by the horse's head holding the reins. There is a campsite and a hillside behind. Colonel Clarke served with the Scots Greys during the Crimean War.
