Photograph of the cavalry camp, looking towards the plateau of Sevastopol. There are tents and wooden huts on the hillside and clothes drying on the ground in the foreground. Another camp can be seen on the hillside behind. Cavalry regiments played an important role in the Crimean War, and participated in many of the major events including the Charge of the Light Brigade.
