Photograph of a cavalry camp, looking towards Kadikoi. In the foreground is the camp of the 11th Hussars. There are a number of wooden tents and huts, with soldiers and horses around them. The camp extends further into the valley and there are hills behind. On the top of the hill to the left there is another campsite.
Troops engaged in the Siege of Sevastopol camped in the surrounding countryside.
