Photograph of Brigadier-General Garrett and officers of his staff gathered around a table by the entrance of a tent. Three officers sit around the table and another stands with his back to the camera bending forwards slightly to cut up food. Another man stands to the right facing left and holding a tray. All are wearing military uniform. This photograph, printed by Jabez Hughes in 1883, is a carbon print pasted over the original photograph.

Brigadier-General Garrett was the Commanding Officer of the 46th Regiment during the Crimean War and later commanded the British troops in China and Hong Kong.
