The portrait features, from left to right, Lady Cecilia Lennox (1838-1910), Lady Susan Clinton (fl. 1860), Lady Katherine Hamilton (1840-74), Lady Emma Stanley (1835-1928), Lady Constance Villiers (1840-1922), Lady Susan Murray (1837-1915), Lady Cecilia Molyneux (1838-1910) and Lady Victoria Noel (1839-1916).
