Photograph of a three-quarter length double portrait of Flora MacDonald (1822- c.1899) and Caroline Cavendish (1826-1910). MacDonald is seated in right profile. She rests her right hand on the right arm of Cavendish. Cavendish is seated, facing towards the camera. She turns her head halfway towards the left. Cavendish holds a fan with both hands in front of her body. Both women were Maids of Honour in Queen Victoria's household.
