Photograph of a full length portrait of Richard Dawson, Baron Cremorne, later 1st Earl of Dartrey (1817-97) seated, facing slightly towards the left. He turn his head and looks towards the camera. He holds a cane with both hands, placing it between his legs, and rests a top hat on his lap.

Dawson was Lord-in-Waiting from 1857 to 1858 and 1859 to 1866.
