Hand-coloured photograph of Queen Victoria (1819-1901) and Victoria, Princess Royal, later Empress of Germany (1840-1901). Queen Victoria is seated in a chair and the Princess is seated beside her, on the floor. Queen Victoria places her arm around her daughter. They both looks towards the camera. The sitters are flanked by columns and there is a window and drapery behind. Flowers are strewn on the floor before them.
