Photograph of the bedroom at Osborne occupied by Princess Alice, later Grand Duchess of Hesse and by Rhine (1843-78), following her wedding on 1 July 1862.  Above the bed is a plaque with the initials of Princess Alice and her husband, Prince Louis, later Grand Duke of Hesse (1837-92).
