Photograph of a full length portrait of Princess Alice s, later Grand Duchess of Hesse and by Rhine (1843-78), standing, facing towards the camera. She carries a basket of flowers in her left hand and wears flowers in her hair. Princess Alice is dressed as the embodiment of Spring for a Tableaux of the Seasons performed at Windsor.
