Photograph of a full length portrait of Prince Arthur, later Duke of Connaught (1850-1942), dressed as a Private of the Grenadier Guards for the tableau, 'The Allies', performed at Windsor Castle. The young prince is seated, facing towards the camera. He turns his head slightly to the left and looks towards the camera. He holds a glass on his right knee. He wears a cap, sash, uniform jacket and light coloured trousers.
