Photograph of a three-quarter length portrait of Prince Alfred, later Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (1844-1900) standing, facing towards the camera. He leans on a plinth draped with cloth. He rests his cheek on his right hand. He wears a leopard skin tunic, gathered at the waist, over a light coloured shirt. He wears a wreath of grapes on his head. Prince Alfred is dressed as the embodiment of Autumn for the Tableaux of the Seasons, performed at Windsor Castle.
