de Keyser was a Belgian painter of the Romantic tradition, mainly historical, and portraits. He is said to have produced 350 paintings.Three of his paintings are in the Royal Collection: Marie Henrietta, Archduchess of Austria (RCIN 405103), Leopold, Duke of Brabant (RCIN 404108) and William II, King of the Netherlands (RCIN 405151).
