Photograph of a full-length portrait of Ludwig Gruner standing, facing front. He holds a book on a table in his right hand and places his left hand on his hip.

Gruner was Keeper of the Royal Print Room at Dresden, an engraver and art publisher who directed the production of chromolithography by the Berlin firm of Storch & Kramer. He also acted as adviser to Prince Albert on matter relating to art particularly the Raphael Collection.
