Photograph of a full length portrait of Lord Edward Clinton, standing, facing halfway to the left. He turns his head and looks towards the camera. He rests his right arm on a plinth positioned beside him and holds an umbrella in his right hand. He poses with his left leg crossed over his right. He poses in front of a painted backdrop depicting a landscape scene. There is a top hat on top of the plinth.

Clinton was the second son of the 5th Duke of Newcastle, later Groom-in-Waiting and Master of the Household.
