Photograph of a full length portrait of Lady Augusta Frederica Elizabeth Bruce, later Stanley (1822-76), standing, facing three-quarters to the left. She looks ahead, away from the camera, and poses with her hands held together in front of her waist. Photograph likely to have been taken at Osborne.

Bruce was Resident Woman of the Bedchamber from 1861, Extra Woman of the Bedchamber between 1863 and 1876, and previously Lady-in-Waiting to the Duchess of Kent.
