Photograph of a full length portrait of the Jager, John MacDonald (d.1860), seated on the trunk of a tree with a stag laid out by his feet. A rifle rests on MacDonald's left leg. The stag was shot by Prince Albert (1819-61) on 5th Oct 1854 in Corrie Buie. Photograph taken in Balmoral.
