Photograph of a full length portrait of George William Frederick Brudenell-Bruce, 2nd Marquess of Ailesbury (1804-78) seated at a table, facing three-quarters to the right. He looks ahead at a newspaper he holds in his left hand, his left arm resting on the table. He places his right hand on his knee. 

Brudenell-Bruce was Master of the Horse from 1859 to 1866 and 1868 to 1874.
