Hand painted photograph of a full length portrait of George Arthur Hastings, Earl of Granard (1833-89) dressed as the first Earl of Granard (1623-95), in the 17th-century style. He stands, holding a long walking stick, looking to left, with long hair and beard. The costume was worn at a fancy dress ball given by James Hamilton, 1st Duke of Abercorn (1811-85) at the Viceregal Lodge, Dublin.
