Photograph of a near full length portrait of Georg II, Duke of Saxe-Meiningen (1826-1914) when Hereditary Prince of Saxe-Meiningen. He stands, facing towards the camera, and turns his head to the left, his face captured in profile. He wears a military uniform and has a military great coat draped over his right shoulder. He holds a helmet and a pair of gloves in his left hand. The photograph has been overpainted with black pigment.
