Photograph of a full length portrait of Friedrich I, Duke of Anhalt (1831-1904), when Hereditary Prince of Dessau, standing and facing the camera. He poses with his right hand raise, holding a top hat, and his left hand in his coat pocket.

Friedrich married Princess Antoinette of Saxe-Altenburg in 1854, and succeeded his father as Duke of Anhalt on 22 May 1871.
