Hand-coloured photograph of a full length portrait of Fraulein M. Kitzing, a dancer. Kitzing stands facing the camera front on, her feet in first position. She places her right hand on her cheek, and her left arm over her body. She wears a lace cap with veil, necklace with cross and an outfit consisting of a light colour, long sleeved shirt, embroidered bodice, apron, knee-length, full skirt and black shoes with ribbons.

The caption states the work is from 'Princess Frederick William of Prussia', Queen Victoria's first daughter, later German Empress Frederick III (1840-1901).
