Photograph of a full length portrait of Elizabeth, Duchess of Wellington (1820-1904) seated, facing slightly towards the left. She turns her head towards the camera and gazes upwards, to the right. She holds a small dog on her lap. Colour has been applied to the sitter's face.

The Duchess was Lady of the Bedchamber from 1843 to 1858 and Mistress of the Robes from 1861 to 1868 and again from 1874 to 1880.
