Hand painted photograph of a three-quarter length portrait of Anne Murray, Duchess of Atholl (1814-97) seated, facing three-quarters to the left. She holds a fan in her right hand. She is wearing mourning dress. The Duchess was Lady-in-Waiting to Queen Victoria (1819-1901) and also present when Prince Albert (1819-61) died in December 1861.
