Photograph of a  round, steel snuff box, laid out to show the top and bottom halves. The box is entirely carved with a leaf design scrollwork. The lid, on the right, has a small circular medallion in the centre. The medallion features a head-length profile portrait of Napoleon (1769-1821), facing right. The portrait is surrounded by an inscription reading: 'NAPOLEON EMP. DES FRANCAIS'.
