Photograph of a painting of the Virgin and Child by Bartolomé Estebán Murillo (1617-82). The Virgin is depicted seated on a bench, holding the Christ Child on her lap.
At the time of the photograph, the painting was in the collection of Samuel Jones-Loyd, 1st Baron Overstone (1796-1883). The painting is now held by the The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
