Photograph of the painting 'Mary Magdalene in Ecstasy' by Ary Scheffer (1795-1858). The painting depicts a half length portrait of Mary Magdalene. She holds her hands together in front of her left shoulder and gazes upwards, to the left. The painting is photographed in its frame. An inscription across the top of the frame reads 'Jesus saith/ unto her Mary!'
