Photograph of the painting 'An Episode in the Happier Days of Charles I' by Frederick Goodall (1822–1904). The painting depicts Charles I (1600-49) and his family in a boat on the River Thames, sailing past Hampton Court Palace. The family are depicted feeding two swans, located in the foreground. The painting is photographed in its frame and part of an identification number can be seen in the lower left corner.
At the time of the photograph, the painting was in the collection of Sir Thomas Fairbairn (1823-91). The painting is now held by the Bury Art Museum, near Manchester.
