Photograph of a painting of a portrait of the artist Frans Snyders by Antony van Dyck, dating from the 1620s. The sitter is depicted half length, looking towards the viewer. He rests his hands on the back of a chair.
At the time of the photograph, the painting was in the collection of William George Howard, 8th Earl of Carlisle (180- 89). The painting is now held by the Frick Collection, New York.
