Photograph of the painting 'Lytham Sand Hills' by Richard Ansdell (1815-85). The painting depicts a male sheep herder standing on a beach with two dogs. His flock of sheep are gathered together on the far left side of the painting.

At the time of the photograph, the painting was in the collection of
Richard Newsham (1798-1883). The painting is now held by Harris Museum and Art Gallery, Preston.
