Photograph of the painting 'A Singing Practice' by Gerard ter Borch (1617-81). The painting depicts a young woman standing with her back facing the viewer. She holds a song book. A young male and an older female are seated in front of her. The young man holds up his right hand whilst the woman drinks.

At the time of the photograph, the painting was in the collection of Francis Charles Granville Egerton, 3rd Earl of Ellesmere (1847-1914). The painting is currently held by the National Galleries of Scotland.
