Photograph of the central panel of the triptych 'The Martyrdom of Laurence Saunders at Coventry' by Charles West Cope (1811-90). The painting depicts two men, together holding a baby. One man is seated at a desk. Beside him a man stands, passing the baby to him. The scene appears to take place in a prison cell.

At the time of the photograph, she painting was in the collection of Mrs Thurburn. The painting is now held by the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum in Coventry.
