Photograph of Queen Victoria, Prince Albert, Albert Edward, Prince of Wales and Prince Alfred at the opening of the Crystal Palace, Sydenham. The royal family members are positioned on a raised platform. A large group of people, mainly men wearing military uniforms, stand and sit around the royal couple. Men with musical instruments can be seen in the upper right corner of the photograph.
