Photograph from an album of the stone bridge spanning the River Dee as seen in the background. A rocky gorge interspersed with trees borders the bridge on either side.
The bridge in this photograph exhibits a single gothic arch. In her diaries written during the autumn of 1857, Queen Victoria mentions crossing the 'new bridge...where a fine salmon and large trout were caught.' RA VIC/MAIN/QVJ (W) 1st September 1857
