Photograph of a stag's head with 12 point antlers placed on a garland of heather, the whole supported on a wooden bench set against a plain stone wall of the Glassalt Shiel on the Balmoral estate.

Queen Victoria's diary entry for the 2nd October 1858 reads: 'Albert out for the day, stalking...returned having killed a fine stag with 13 points.' RA VIC/MAIN/QVJ (W) 2nd October 1858
