Photograph of Scott's Monument, a Victorian Gothic monument dedicated to the writer Sir Walter Scott (1771-1832), in East Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh. The figure of Scott is positioned underneath the great tower. Trees and foliage in the foreground.

The monument stands in Princes Street Gardens in Edinburgh, near the Waverley Railway station, which was named after one of Scott's novels. It was designed by George Meikle Kemp (1795-1844) and construction began in 1840 with its completion in 1844.
