Photograph of Princess Louise, later Duchess of Argyll (1848-1939) and Albert Edward, Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII (1841-1910), seated together around a cauldron hanging from wooden supports, meaning to represent a fire. Princess Louise holds her hands out, pretending to warm herself from the fire. The Prince is dressed in a cape and hat and wears a long white beard and wig. The cape and hat are covered in fake snow. The Prince and Princess Louise are dressed as the embodiment of 'Winter' for the Tableaux of the Seasons, performed at Windsor Castle.
