These are: D[?uncan] Kennedy; J Smith; W Stewart; John Brown (1827-83), standing facing the viewer with his right hand in his waistcoat pocket; J Robertson; Johnnie Grant (1842-82); F Farquarson; James Morgan (1838-90) and Charles Coutts. Two men at the front of the group lie on the ground. Trees in the background.
